SUNY Farmingdale - Conklin Hall
BRB is currently working with Farmingdale State College, part of the SUNY system, to renovate Conklin Hall.
Conklin Hall, originally constructed as a power plant in the early years of the College, will be restored and adaptively repurposed as an extension of the new student center. The 16,500 sf structure will house student activities spaces, and a variety of lounge, study, and conference spaces. We envision the building as an extension of the new pedestrian-oriented center of campus, incorporating outdoor spaces and maximizing connections between the interior and exterior. The interior of the building will be a series of permeable, interconnected spaces, creating an environment where students will be invited to join in the buzz of collaborative academic and social activities.
