Sustainability was a key issue in the design of 236,000 sf of new offices for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. We were successful in achieving LEED Gold certification. Located on six floors near the top of the new One Bryant Park building, BRB’s design features translucent glass walls at attorney offices, energy efficient lighting, raised floors with under-floor air circulation, and sustainable materials. The modern design aesthetic is a counterpoint to the organic nature of the adjacent Bryant Park, the materials and shapes of which are recalled by the walnut veneer walls and stone floors.
